Cancer survivor Nicola launches celebrity fashion venture to raise vital funds
Wirral-based Worn By Us is an online shop that raises money for charity by selling the most desirable designer clothes worn and donated by celebrities
After winning her battle against breast cancer, Wirral mum Nicola Gleave quit her job as a highflying business consultant and now launched a venture to raise cash for charities across the UK.
Ms Gleave has set up Worn By Us, an online shop that raises money for charity by selling the most desirable designer clothes worn and donated by celebrities and fabulous fashionistas from around the world.
It has the backing of celebrities including former Spice Girl Melanie C.
More than 70% of every sale will go to charity, including Cancer Research UK, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Melanoma UK, and Parkinsons UK, among many others.
12-month battle
She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and, after a tough 12-month battle, is now in remission.“Setting up Worn By Us has been a real labour of love – what started as a just a passing day dream has now become a reality and I’m so incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved to date,” said Ms Gleave who lives in Prenton.
